The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad is seeking an eligible and qualified individual for the position of Housing Escort Coordinator (Trainee) in the Housing Section of General Services Office (GSO).
Position: Housing Escort Coordinator (Trainee) (FSN-6; FP-8*)
Basic Function of Position:
The incumbent is a team leader for up to fifteen residential escorts, and provides guidance and instructions to escorts during make-ready, cleaning, or any other contractor work on houses in the U.S. Embassy Islamabad housing pool.  The incumbent will ensure escorts maintain control of un-cleared contractors and visitors to the U.S. Embassy and Embassy owned or leased properties.  The incumbent will serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for guttercleaning and general cleaning contracts.
Qualifications Required:
1. Education: Completion of ten years of education is required.
2. Experience: Two years of clerical/administrative experience working in an office in a security or customer service-related field is required.
3. Language: Level III (good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English, Urdu and Punjabi is required.  Language skills will be tested.
4. Knowledge: Incumbent must have a good knowledge of escort functions, working on a team, and being able to monitor personnel.
5. Abilities & Skills: Incumbent must have the ability to maintain registers, logs, scheduling and accountability rosters. Must have an excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skill. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Must have valid Pakistani driver`s license (Motor car/Jeep or Motorcycle).

Selection Process:
When qualified, applicants who are U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and/or preference-eligible U.S. Veterans are given a preference in hiring.  Therefore, it is essential that these applicants make themselves known as having a hiring preference and specifically address the required qualifications above in their application.
Additional Selection Criteria:
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Current employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
4. Current NOR employees hired on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless they have a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
5. Current employees who have voluntarily been reassigned/promoted from one position to another are not eligible to apply for six months from the effective date of the reassignment/promotion.
6. Current employees who have received any job-related training are not eligible to apply in another section/agency for six months from the effective date of the training.
7. U.S. Mission Pakistan will not bear any travel expenses for testing, interviews, pre-employment clearances (if selected) or relocation for joining.
